It's Still Stable!

One year after I found out I have cancer and I found out today that the tumor in my heart is

STABLE!!

And maybe a little bit smaller.

That's right, a cardiac malignancy that has been stable for a year.  Without any cancer treatment.  Have you ever heard of such a thing?  Neither have I.  But I belong to the King of creation, a God of miracles.  He is a God who crafts a beautiful redemption for his people through the ages, even now.  This is an amazing installment of that redemption and an awe inspiring miracle.

I also found out today that my heart function has improved and is now in the normal range.  This is after I had come to accept that I would live my life with a reduced heart function secondary to my childhood chemo.  But a beautiful redemption was given to me today and my heart function is normal.
Thanks to God through Jesus for healing in his own way in his own time.  May it be more grand than I could ask or imagine.

I have been so encouraged by these passages this week and I leave them with you for encouragement.  Thank you for your prayers and support for me and my family during the hardest and most blessed year of our lives.

Romans 8:11

Romans 12:1-2 (MSG)
So here’s what I want you to do, God helping you: Take your everyday, ordinary life—your sleeping, eating, going-to-work, and walking-around life—and place it before God as an offering. Embracing what God does for you is the best thing you can do for him. Don’t become so well-adjusted to your culture that you fit into it without even thinking. Instead, fix your attention on God. You’ll be changed from the inside out. Readily recognize what he wants from you, and quickly respond to it. Unlike the culture around you, always dragging you down to its level of immaturity, God brings the best out of you, develops well-formed maturity in you.
